CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST GÜLİZAR ŞEHİTOĞLU
Clinical Psychologist and Supervisor Gülizar Şehitoğlu was born in Bursa in 1987 and graduated from Uludağ University’s Department of Psychology in 2009. She spent the second year of her undergraduate studies at Università degli Studi di Torino in Italy, in a programme focused on developmental psychology. She was accepted into the Summer Research Opportunity Program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she completed a clinical psychology internship. During her undergraduate education, she received high-honour recognition on several occasions.
She works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She is a Professional Experiential Play Therapist and Supervisor (APT-approved) and provides attachment-based parent consultation. In her work with adults, she primarily integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and mindfulness-based approaches. In couples therapy, she works within the Gottman Method framework and has completed Level 3 training. She offers sessions in Turkish and English, both online and in person. She also provides academic consultancy, training, seminars, and workshops for organisations. She is a member of the Bursa Women Entrepreneurs Board and speaks English and Italian fluently. She is married and has a son and a daughter.
